Let’s be completely upfront, AI Technology Futures is a new company, and we’re not pretending otherwise. But while the business is new, the founders are anything but. We’re a group of senior operators, technologists and entrepreneurs with decades of hard-won experience in digital transformation, industry, data, energy systems, automation and AI. We’ve seen the problems up close, we’ve built solutions before, and now we’re putting that expertise into something built for the future — not the past.
We believe the centre of gravity in technology is shifting and it’s moving fast. Intelligence isn’t going to live solely in the cloud anymore. It’s heading to the edge, where data is created and where decisions need to be made in real time.
Look ahead a few years: autonomous systems, human-scale robots, location-aware devices that talk to their environments and collaborate with people as naturally as smartphones do today. Those machines aren’t going to ping the cloud for permission every time they need to act, they’ll depend on local intelligence and edge-connected infrastructure. Sensors, equipment, workers and AI will need to interact instantly and securely at the edge.
But this isn’t just what’s coming ; it’s where the opportunity is right now.
There are major real-world wins already on the table for companies that use edge AI and IIoT to cut waste, reduce energy use, extend asset life and prevent breakdowns. That’s where we’re starting.
A Few of the projects we’re currently working on for the future
1. EdgeSense: An Edge-Based System for Environmental Monitoring and Beyond
We built an edge-based monitoring platform that tracks air quality, temperature, humidity, and other environmental factors across industrial sites. It uses HaLow mesh radio for secure, long-range, low-power communication and an open-source data stack so it works independently of the cloud. It’s already deployed at the Digital Process Manufacturing Centre (DPMC), delivering continuous real-time insights. The system is fully modular and can connect to any sensor, making it suitable not just for environmental monitoring but also for equipment health, energy use, and process optimisation.
2. Intelligent Edge Facilities Suite: AI-Powered, Sustainable Facility Operations
An AI-driven edge platform that changes how buildings are monitored, maintained, and optimised. By combining edge computing with real-time sensor analytics, it helps facilities run more efficiently, safely, and with lower environmental impact. The system learns from on-site data to predict maintenance needs, optimise energy consumption, and prioritise upgrades—all without heavy reliance on the cloud. It’s a resilient, future-focused approach to facility management and operational excellence.
3. The Smart Digital Dipstick for Diesel Engines
This is far more than an oil gauge. We’re developing a dipstick with embedded sensors to monitor engine condition, detect issues early and trigger maintenance only when it’s actually needed. That means less downtime, longer machine life and reduced servicing costs — ideal for fleets, ports, agriculture, marine and heavy equipment.
4. Carbon On-Chain for Real Accountability
We’re combining edge sensors with blockchain to create unbreakable, end-to-end visibility of energy consumption and emissions. No spreadsheets, no estimates — just real-time data from the source, locked on-chain for traceability, regulation and credibility. It’s a powerful tool against greenwashing and a foundation for performance incentives.
And this is just a snapshot.
Why Work With Us Now?
Because this is the moment when partnership still shapes direction. We’re not retrofitting innovation onto legacy models — we’re building from the ground up alongside the organisations that stand to gain the most. Early partners benefit from:
Solutions built around their operational reality
Commercial models that make adoption practical, not prohibitive
First-mover advantage in future productisation and IP
Influence over priorities, features and timelines
We’re not selling generic software. We’re co-creating intelligent edge-based solutions with people who share the vision: faster decision-making, lower waste, safer operations and smarter assets.
